| Some
date from hell - 3 - 7 Loss!
We all played like shit and didn't want the ball enough. I feel like we've let the fans down. That's if they fucking turned up and actually watched a game of course. It's all "You guys are so good", "We love you Axis", "How skilful you are Axis", "Ben, I'm pregnant" when the sun is shining, but get a quick loss and watch the rats desert the ship. Well let me tell you something, HMS Palumbo is still king of the high seas, equal top of the ladder. Next week it's the boys from Poland, a traditional Axis whipping ground. Watch this space. Rodgero

Lost to Bros 2 - 8
After months of speculation about when and where, the team formally known as "Remember Iran" would take to the pitch. When those whose hope for the future dried up, the little known team destined for greatness donned their Spanish away strips with the Premier league numbers and took to the court. The Axis was surprised early on by the complicated strategy of "passing" that was employed early on against them, the defence proved to be soft as butter, going one down within 2 minutes. And that's about the highlights really.
Benito scored two within quick succession towards the end of the first
half, with a few missed chances from all others. The opposition
"Bros", were more than happy to let us turn the ball over in
critical areas of the field, like directly in front of goals. Score
was 3-2 down at halftime and the pattern was set for the next half.
Get ball, turn ball over, opposition score. Wash, rinse,
repeat. And once we ran out of legs, the result was inevitable.
8 - 2 down. Benito, whose sore knee and pre-game pledges to
"conserve myself in goal" vanished like morning dew after his
first goal, was best on ground. Stallione was excellent for his
first game with a fine effort. A new game plan is coming, with some
work on our marking and passing needed. Still, the beast is back,
and football is better for it.
